Behaviour & Respect PDF Print E-mail

This post is to refresh everyone on what behaviour is considered appropriate within Insidious.

Our officers are in their positions for good reasons - they are all skilled in different aspects of running a guild, whether the majority of guild members are aware of their contributions or not. We expect everyone to respect them and their authority in relation to all guild matters.

The current Officers are:

    - Rhamiel
    - Genowen
    - Mortigen

Additionally, we have a senior rank of Champion. This rank is given to those people within the guild who provide advice and assistance to the Officers on a regular basis, and again, may not be noticed by the majority of the guild, as they quite often work behind the scenes to help us all get the outcome we want.

The current Champions are:

    • Korode
    • Elvstroem
    • Aquyla

Primarily, we are a progression raiding guild with a mixture of social players who are more casual right through to highly skilled raiders who didn’t like the pressure of high-end raiding guilds (and many would be surprised at how many of our current player base have been in high end guilds).

We expect everyone to respect their fellow guildies regardless of their 'apparent' position within the guild. Just because someone doesn’t raid, isn’t as skilled as you, hasn’t done as many raids as you, or didn't play 'back in the good ole days of Vanilla/BC', does not give you the right to look down on them or treat them any differently to anyone else.

Bullying or mob behaviour will not be tolerated at all. Please keep in mind that things said in good fun are fine, but don’t cross the line.

Additionally, whispering other guild members complaining about anything to do with the guild - be that raid teams, Officers etc is totally inappropriate for a group of adults, and will not be tolerated. If you have a problem with something, take it to an Officer directly - nothing destroys a guild faster than bored/disaffected people spreading discontent amongst other guild members. Quite often the issue is easily solvable by actually ASKING Officers what is going on - we are always abreast of any issues within the guild, but try our best to keep the drama away from the broader guild community so you can enjoy your play time.

The guild is also intolerant of guild members being rude to non-guild members. Your behaviour in 5 mans, pugs, and generally moving around the world reflects on everyone. Do not say/do anything that you would not want said to you. This includes trolling in public channels.

If you have an issue with someone please let an Officer know, and they will work to resolve it.

Please respect your fellow guildie. Chances are you may not even be aware of their past history or experience, but you will only find out by playing with different people, and getting to know them better. Everyone in Insidious is here because they fit with both the 'original' and current vision of how the guild would work, and we want it to be a nice, friendly place to spend your gaming time.
